What is Sikshashree scheme?
Sikshashree Scholarship Scheme is for the day scholar students of Class V to VIII belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe category.
Name of the Department: Backward Classes Welfare Department and Tribal Welfare Department
Project Objective: The Sikshasree Project targets students from caste and tribal states in a timely manner. To reduce the number of school dropouts, the state provides scholarships to students in grades 5 and 8. Students who do not live in hostels and belong to the castes and tribes as planned are eligible for the scholarship. Students in grades 5-7 receive a subsidy of 750 rupees per year, students in grades 8 and 800 rupees, junior high school students, and students in grades 5 and 8 receive a grant of rupees. Who is eligible for Sikshashree scholarship?
Students must belong to the scheduled caste (SC) and tribal (ST) community. Students in grades 5-8 are encouraged to participate. The student's annual household income must not exceed 2.5 million rupees.
What is Sikshashree scheme in Bengali?
Another plan. Students in grades V-VIII in the boxing category will receive two scholarships. a) assistance in the form of a book grant; and b) assistance in the form of a subsidy for living. The amount of this grant is small and does not correspond to its intended purpose.

Eligibility for West Bengal Sikshashree Scholarship 2021 -2022
The eligibility criteria to apply for the Sikshashree Scholarship 2021 – 2022 are,
The student must be a resident of West Bengal.
The annual income of the student’s family must be less then 2.5 lakhs.
The student must be studying as a day scholar in any school in West Bengal in class 5 to 8.
The student must not be getting any other financial assistance from state or central government.
