WB FARMER FRIENDLY SCHEME SECH BANDHU PRAKALPA 2022 FOR PROVIDES FARMERS. 

Sech Bandhu Prakalpa is a farmer-friendly project that provides farmers with 46,000 new replacement pumps to improve irrigation in the state. This will be of great help to farmers and protect against illegal consumption of electricity. As a result, it will reduce electricity theft and increase the regular supply of electricity in rural areas of Bengal.

 

The aims of sech bandhu scheme

The program aims to help poor and marginalized farmers improve crop production by providing free irrigation systems in low rainfall areas.

 This includes installing micro-irrigation systems for farmers that not only help farmers meet their water needs, but also prevent water wastage. 

The plan proposes the use of two methods of irrigation (as we have seen). The cost of installing a drip irrigation device is Rs 70,000 and sprinkler machines Rs. 20,000 This cost is fully covered by the state.

 In addition to growing food crops, the program will provide adequate irrigation for vegetable and fruit farms. 

The project received a distribution of Rs 25 crore.

WB Krishi Sech Yojna Management and Methodology

This program is overseen by the Ministry of Agriculture of West Bengal. The Department has identified two artificial processes that help cultivate more hectares of land with less water: drip irrigation and sprinkler irrigation. This mechanism is adopted by the department after the necessary tests and trials have been carried out, making the process fit and efficient for its purpose.
